Ushuaia, Argentina (2007) — Ships of all shapes and sizes anchored in the harbor and docked at the wharf fill Puerto Ushuaia. From a window across the street, it was easy to be “on the lookout,” watching the comings and goings of naval ships, cargo ships, yachts, cruise ships, expedition ships, tour boats, fishing ships, sailing ships, tugboats, and other vessels.
Ushuaia, Argentina (2013) — My first flight in a small, sightseeing airplane with Aero Club Ushuaia happened in 2007. On a similar flight six years later, the mountains looked the same, but the glaciers that covered them did not.
Ushuaia, Argentina (2007) — The Vinciguerra Glacier in the Andes Mountains overlooks Ushuaia to the south. Laguna de los Témpanos, Lagoon of the Icebergs, formed below it from pooling meltwater. Disclaimer: The footage used for these historical video clips was shot many years ago for reference purposes related to writing. The compact digital camera used was an early adopter of video. Back then compact digital cameras were very limited in quality and capability compared to where they stand now. So, the footage obviously does not meet today's standards.
